Gemma Collins and Sinitta march off I'm A Celebrity as Adam Thomas declared winner

Gemma Collins and Sinitta both stormed off stage during the dramatic I'm A Celebrity South Africa finale as Adam Thomas was crowned the winner in a controversial ending

Gemma Collins and Sinitta both dramatically exited the stage during the tumultuous I'm a Celeb finale. The drama kicked off just before actor Adam Thomas was declared the champion of the show, pipping Mo Farah to the post.

Singer and actress Sinitta, 62, seemed to take umbrage at something Jimmy Bullard had said regarding his own clash with Thomas earlier in the series. Addressing the audience, Sinitta said: "You guys weren't there, you don't know what happened."

She then made a swift exit from the stage, closely followed by telly star Gemma. Jimmy, the ex-professional footballer, had labelled Thomas as being "abusive, aggressive and intimidating".

Adam found himself face to face with Jimmy and David Haye for the first time since their heated camp disagreements in South Africa.

It was former boxer David who initiated the confrontation, calling out the star while he was in conversation with Ant and Dec. This season has been packed with surprises, trials, tension and tears, and now I'm A Celebrity South Africa has drawn to a close, reports the Mirror.

Upon being announced as the winner, Adam expressed: "Thank you guys, thank you so much. I love ya." Prior to his final trial in South Africa, Adam, 37, conceded that there had been "a lot of drama" in camp. And the final was no different, with hosts Ant and Dec battling to keep things under control.

Adam reflected on the incident and admitted he had apologised to Jimmy multiple times. With a serious expression, he said: "Listen I take full responsibility for my actions. Yes emotions were definitely running high in that moment. But, you know, I have got nothing but love for Jimmy."

When David Haye attempted to interject, Adam also said "will you just let the finalists speak". Adam then added: "I take everything he said into account. That is not how I want to show myself off and I have never showed myself off in that light before that or after that. And I am sorry Jimmy."

Adam was presented with a final eating challenge in South Africa named Swallow the Odds, and looking forward to the possibility of victory, he declared: "I am gonna be a legend baby". He then proceeded to ace the trial, consuming five courses including five pig teats, two century fermented eggs, tarantula and fermented tofu.

He even encouraged himself, saying "come on Adam, " between bites. After watching, Gemma said: "You done so well, you amazing."

However, he also had to deal with criticism from other contestants, as David Haye interrupted the show at this point and asked: "Do you think you deserve to win it after calling Jimmy the C-word a couple of times?"
