Good Morning Britain fans were gobsmacked on Friday as the show threw a massive 50th birthday bash for one of its stars.
In the middle of the show, hosts Adil Ray and Kate Garraway stopped everything for a mega announcement. Kate declared: "Now, we do have some major breaking news about someone in this very studio."
Kate spilled the beans to ITV viewers that Charlotte Hawkins was born on this day back in 1975. As she chatted about her colleague's big day, viewers were treated to a montage of nostalgic photos.
The pictures included a young Charlotte cuddling a teddy bear and another of her beaming on horseback. There was also a classic school photo which had the ITV star cracking up with laughter.
She exclaimed: "Where did you get these from? !" Kate cheekily suggested that Charlotte's family had 'betrayed' her by sending the snaps to the show, reports Bristol Live.
But it was an old clip of Charlotte from her early reporting days that left Adil absolutely speechless. He blurted out: "What on earth?! You look older there! You look 63!"
Charlotte couldn't help but laugh, confessing she'd tried to look more 'grown-up' back then. The birthday fun didn't stop there, as Laura Tobin rocked up with a trolley full of birthday cake.
Adil then handed over a lovely bunch of flowers while Charlotte shared that her daughter keeps reminding her she's hit half a century.
Kate was momentarily taken aback by a black and white photo of her colleague from her younger years, mistaking it for Marilyn Monroe. Charlotte clarified: "No, that was me back in the day, believe it or not!
"That was in my modelling days when I was earning a bit of money, while I was at university."
Kate responded: "Happy Birthday, Charlotte. I still can't quite believe she's 50. I think it's a lie."
Viewers quickly echoed Kate's disbelief on Twitter, expressing astonishment at Charlotte turning 50.
One person tweeted: "Happy birthday Charlotte, you can see what a beautiful person you are inside and out 50? I will take some of what you are having." Another chimed in: "Doesn't look anywhere near 50."
A different user commented: "Happy 50th Birthday [sic] Charlotte . Are you sure? You look amazing. Enjoy your day."
Meanwhile, another tweet read: "@GMB Happy Birthday to the lovely @CharlotteHawkns, I hope she has a lovely day and you don't look a day over 40."
In concurrence, one viewer remarked: "Happy birthday, I thought you were in your mid 30s."
Good Morning Britain is available to watch on ITVX.
