Charlotte Hawkins revealed some thrilling news beyond her Good Morning Britain duties which represented a career 'first' for her.
The ITV presenter, who has been a fixture on the breakfast programme since 2014, has frequently hosted the show alongside the likes of Richard Madeley and Ed Balls while Susanna Reid takes a break.
Yet this week audiences witnessed her stepping outside her Good Morning Britain role as she made her debut on ITV News at Ten, marking a career milestone.
Posting a collection of photographs on social media, Charlotte offered her fans a peek behind the curtains.
One snapshot displayed notes on a laptop, another captured her in her dressing room, while a third revealed the studio floor with the autocue reader visible, reports the Mirror.
She wrote alongside the post: "Quite the moment for me tonight.. my debut presenting the iconic News at Ten on @itv. A busy afternoon gearing up for it - we have an afternoon meeting where we chat through what's in the programme.
"I'm in charge of writing the infamous 'bongs' tonight. A visit to make-up to get camera-ready, then into the studio where the countdown begins. Brilliant working with such a great team at @itvnews!"
It didn't take long for followers to respond to the post, with many hurrying to express their congratulations on the presenter's achievement.
One commented: "Huge congratulations, very well deserved, I hope you have a very long and successful career with News at 10." Another person penned: "You deserve it, Charlotte. Great job."
Another fan praised: "Thought you did a really great job - well done!" One follower expressed: "Hope you are a regular on news at 10 xxx"
Another viewer remarked: "Yessss, Charlotte! It was flawless (obvs)"
While another individual posted: "I didn't even think for a moment it was your first time! You so belong there! Probably, as we see you on the lunchtime news, it's just natural to see you at night. Many congratulations, and you were superb as usual."
Charlotte's stint on ITV News at Ten accounts for her absence from Good Morning Britain on Monday (April 13), with fans seeing Kate Garraway stepping in to deliver the latest headlines.
Also this week, audiences witnessed the return of Susanna Reid and Ed Balls, who have been missing from the ITV programme over the past few weeks due to the Easter break.
Good Morning Britain is available to watch weekdays on ITV from 6am.
