A cherished GMB presenter has secured a fresh role on a competing programme.
Charlotte Hawkins will be temporarily jumping ship to cover for a Channel 5 host this week. The ITV star will make her debut filling in for Matt Allwright's show and is expected to appear on Jeremy Vine's flagship programme the week after.
Confirming the news, 51-year-old Charlotte said: "Im thrilled to be stepping in as guest host tomorrow on Matt Allwrights show on channel 5, and then Jeremy Vines show early next week.
"Im really looking forward to working with the brilliant team at Channel 5, getting the chance to debate the news and speak to viewers. Its an exciting opportunity for me to be a part of something different," reports the Mirror.
This fresh presenting opportunity will represent the first occasion the television host has helmed a Channel 5 daytime show.
Nevertheless, she brings considerable broadcasting experience having previously presented numerous programmes beyond GMB.
She formerly co-presented Sky's breakfast programme Sunrise alongside Eamonn Holmes before joining GMB.
Charlotte will appear on Channel 5 for the next two weeks but will definitely be remaining in her role at GMB and ITV.
The newsreader is also known for her podcast Leaps and Hounds focusing on canine behaviour and training, plus a show on Classic FM.
Despite her already bustling schedule, Charlotte, who is married to husband Mark Herbert, 50, managed to squeeze in a brief writing retreat last year, teasing that 2026 will be the "year of the book."
Charlotte and Mark have been wed for 15 years, having tied the knot on August 23, 2008 at Chichester Cathedral the church of the bride's father.
Their wedding was celebrated with their closest friends and family including fellow television presenters and former This Morning hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1 and ITVX
