Love Island was bombarded with hundreds of complaints during the final week of its latest series.

While the 13th run of ITV's reality hit has drawn to a close, the fallout continues to dominate discussions amongst fans. Yet it has now emerged that more than 500 viewers raised concerns about particular incidents as the show approached its grand finale.

Ofcom have now revealed in their weekly audience bulletin that 150 complaints were lodged regarding the episode that went to air on July 22. That's not the full picture as an additional 360 were submitted for the programme transmitted the next evening on July 23.

All Ofcom have disclosed about the character of these complaints is that they "related to contestant behaviour." Both episodes centred around The Grafties, reports OK!

During this now notorious and recurring segment of each Love Island series, the contestants assemble and are presented with footage of themselves from the show thus far. Each clip has been crafted into awards categories, with the public getting to vote on who deserves to triumph in each one.

The victor of each category must then approach a podium where they collect their gong and deliver a speech to their fellow islanders. Though this year featured an unprecedented twist.

Aidan scooped multiple awards for his conduct following the family and friends visit, when he engaged in a private conversation with Jasmine's sister.

However, at the time he said: "I feel like I don't deserve this award because this Bella situation has been blown out of proportion. It was all a joke."

Most Islanders battled to maintain their composure during Aidan's speech. The evening also featured clips of axed Islanders appearing on spin-off programmes Aftersun and The Debrief. During these segments they were frequently fielding questions about their former villa mates.

Viewers tuning in from home branded the footage being aired as 'diabolical' and it triggered a furious response amongst some of the Islanders. This included Priya's explosive reaction to bombshell Elicia, where she made remarks about her career.

She has since issued an apology for this after some fans branded her guilty of 'job shaming'. Another fan responded when the episode aired saying: "The podcast and Aftersun clips are SO messy I'm screaming."

While someone else replied: "HOWLING. Using Aftersun clips is crazy." One added: "Them showing Aftersun clips is so messsyyy."

Love Island is streaming on ITVX.
