Im a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! fans were left fuming after Sunday nights episode (November 27) saw one fan favourite contestant alienated from a huge part of the show.

Hollyoaks star Owen Warner and Lioness Jill Scott were in the final two after three weeks in the jungle and sat together as hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced the winner.

The footballer beamed with joy as she took the crown and made her way over the famed wooden bridge, but fans noticed Owen was left in the studio without a chance to walk over the iconic structure.

After every celebrity is eliminated, they make their way up to the treetops to chat with the presenters before they are allowed to cross the bridge and reunite with their loved ones.

However, during each series the runner-up is noticeably absent from this tradition and left in the tree-top studio as the winner has their moment.

Fans have been fuming over Owens apparent alienation and have urged ITV bosses to switch up the shows format, to make it fair for future stars.

ITV viewers took to social media to share their frustration at the unfair moment.

One wrote: He was great, its a shame he didnt get to walk over the bridge like everyone else.

Another typed in capitals: We didnt even get to see Owen cross the bridge.

An upset viewer also complained: The [second] place runners up never get a walk over the bridge moment and its a shame, they should have sent Owen on the bridge straight away after the result then interview[ed] Jill again!

Others commented on the fact that Warner didnt get his time to shine and added sad faces, while one fan tweeted that they feel sorry for the runner up every year.

Owen was allowed to meet and hug his mother in the treehouse studio while live on air and was later spotted with his brothers.

Warner made his way to the Gold Coast hotel after the final episode had finished and met his two brothers Jake and Louie.

Owens siblings hugged the actor after they jumped out and hugged him before he got some time with his previous campmates, including Babatunde Alsh, Seann Walsh and Sue Cleaver.
