Strictly Come Dancing is finally back, with fans pleased to find out which celebrities would be gracing the stage in this year's lineup. Despite, one of its contestants Dani Dyer, announcing earlier this week that she was "heartbroken" after being unable to compete in the BBC show after fracturing her ankle during rehearsals.
Strictly Come Dancing has announced that Dani will be replaced by a fellow Love Island winner Amber Davies, with the Welsh actor and TV personality making her debut in tomorrow night's show. Speaking about joining the show so late in the competition, Amber said: "This has been the craziest 24 hours of my life.
"Ive watched Strictly with my family since I was younger and to now be part of the show is a dream come true. Im going to give it my all and I am sending Dani well wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope I do her proud."
However, one familiar face we won't be seeing on Strictly is This Morning presenter Ben Shephard. His wife, Annie, has put her foot down due to fears of the infamous 'Strictly curse', which has seen numerous contestants end up in romantic relationships with their dance partners, reports the Mirror.
A few years back, while chatting with Andi Peters on Good Morning Britain, Ben confessed: "Andi, I would love to do Strictly.
"As you know, I spent three years in university learning to dance, I have a degree in dance - it doesn't make me a good dancer, obviously.
"But my wife really doesn't want me to do Strictly, I've spoken about it very publicly, but she's not interested in me having an affair."
He jokingly added: "I think she's being very narrow-minded and it could be a great opportunity, who knows what could happen?
"It would be an amazing experience, I love a bit of spangle and glamour on a Saturday night... As things stand though, that's a negotiation that needs to happen between the BBC and my wife."
He joked: "I can get myself into a lot of trouble here."
The notorious 'Strictly Curse' has gained infamy, with multiple celebrities splitting from their partners following stints on Strictly Come Dancing.
It's not merely separations; numerous stars have discovered romance with their professional dance partners on the programme.
Kevin Clifton and Stacey Dooley are one of the show's fairy-tale endings, having fallen head over heels during their championship-winning journey in 2018, echoing fellow stars Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell.
Rachel Riley also discovered love with her dance partner Pasha Kovalev, whilst Seann Walsh sparked controversy with his infamous kiss with married professional Katya Jones, resulting in his relationship breakdown.
