Tipping Point contestant faces cruel twist

Tipping Points Ben Shephard was quick to issue a warning to a player after claiming her family member will be furious at her move.

During Wednesdays (October 23) episode of the ITV hit game show, host Ben was back on our TV screens alongside three contestants wanting to win some big cash.

Viewers saw the trip drop tokens down a choice of four chutes as they all hoped to knock piles of them off a moving shelf and the more they collected, the greater the prize fund.

The player who has won the least amount is then eliminated, and the last one standing competes for a 10,000 jackpot.

Hoping to go home with the huge cash prize was Mike, from Liverpool, medical secretary Katie from Barry and Paul, retired finance analyst from Coventry.

However it was Katie who found herself in the spotlight as Ben stepped in to issue a warning. After answering one of her questions correctly, Ben asked where she would like to drop her tokens.

To which Katie revealed: My nan would have really crossed with me if I didnt go for drop zone four so Im going to go for drop zone four for my nan.

Ben asked: Are you going to stay with drop zone four? Kate made a U-turn and said: You know what, I'm going to mix it up a bit and go for three.

Ben warned: Your nan is going to be furious by the way. The gamble appeared to be worth the risk as she managed to earn 50 towards her prize pot.

Unfortunately it didnt end well for Katie as she was the first player to be eliminated from the competition.

In the end it was Mike who managed to make it through to the final round with 4,359 in his cash pot and also won an air fryer in the mystery prize drop.

It didnt take long for Ben to ask Mike if he was willing to sacrifice his winnings for a chance to go home with the 10k jackpot.

Ben reminded Mike that if he chooses to take the trade but loses then you will go home with nothing. Mike decided not to gamble his money as he admitted: Im going to play it safe and stick with what Ive already got.

Tipping Point airs weekdays from 4pm on ITV and ITVX
