Around 12million votes in total were cast in the final of Im A Celebrity and winner Jill Scott won by an incredible stretch.

The three contestants in the final last night were the former professional footballer, actor Owen Warner and disgraced MP Matt Hancock.

However, winner Jill, 35, proved there was no real contest as she took home nearly 60% of the final public votes (57.7% to be precise), while Hollyoaks Owen scored 42.3%.

During the first round of voting, Matt, 44, took home a paltry 21.72%, while Owen had 31% and Jill had 47.3%.

Since being crowned the champ, Jill, the show's first LGBTQ+ winner, described being on the show as incredible and said: "It really was tough at times, but I think that cyclone challenge, it was like being a young kid again on a massive inflatable!

She added: I just think I threw myself at everything and just tried to make the most of an incredible experience.

Meanwhile, another contestant, Mike Tindall, has spoken about being in the camp with Matt Hancock, who was suspended from the Conservative Party after announcing he would be taking part in the reality show.

Owen Warner came second and Matt Hancock third

During an appearance on This Morning, the former rugby pro said: "What Matt did prove as a campmate is that he could win stars.

He wasn't fazed by the trials that he was put up against and when you're in that environment you need someone that brings back the food, and he did that."

In other Im A Celeb news, fellow contestant Boy George has been accused of stealing the limelight from Jill after he chucked his drink in the air while she was being crowned.

The Culture Club singer threw his beverage behind him just seconds after the Lionness won, causing viewers to brand him an attention seeker.

George, 61, was the fourth contestant to leave the show.

One viewer pointed out: "Boy George throwing his drink over himself cuz the attention is on somebody else."

A second said: "Boy George wanting the spotlight by chucking his drink."

And a third chimed in with: "Boy George trying to make it about him by chucking his drink?"
