- Uncertainty is surrounding Scott Mills' upcoming appearance on The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer after being dismissed from the BBC. The series began on 22 March and two episodes have already been released.
- The 53-year-old radio host was axed by the broadcaster following allegations of personal misconduct relating to a 2016 police investigation into "serious sexual offences" against a teenage boy. Mills was interviewed under caution but the case was dropped due to insufficient evidence.
- The BBC confirmed his departure in a statement: "While we do not comment on matters relating to individuals, we can confirm Scott Mills is no longer contracted to work with the BBC."
- Mills filmed for the celebrity baking show earlier this year alongside JoJo Siwa and Molly-Mae Hague among other UK stars. He posted on social media: "Putting my baking skills to the test. Honoured to be part of the new series of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer."
- Channel 4 has yet to confirm whether they will broadcast pre-recorded scenes featuring Mills following his dismissal from the BBC. Daily Star has contacted Channel 4 for comment.
- Mills began his career on Radio 1 in the late 1990s before moving to Radio 2 in 2022 and eventually took over the Breakfast Show in 2025 after Zoe Ball's departure.
