The pair, who have been married since 2008, spoke to the Daily Star and other publications ahead of the first four episodes being released.

The couple revealed there was plenty to get excited about right from the get-go when they signed up to the Netflix project, with Emma admitting: Im an absolute stickler for matchmaking and love - and I love reality TV - so I was a big old yes!

However, thanks to the shows likeable couples and high stakes, Matt revealed its been hard not to get involved when things start to go pear-shaped.

Asked if they ever felt the desire to intervene when things went wrong, Emma confessed: We want to intervene all the time, but we are not allowed to!

Were not allowed, Matt reiterated. Thats the worst part!

Emma continued: Were always a bit like Can we do a bit more? Can we go and chat to them about that? And theyre like, No.

The pair went on to explain that they were strictly banned from any meddling, including meeting the participants families or going to their highly-anticipated weddings.

However, Emma went on to explain why she felt these rules were for the best, adding: But I get it and it makes sense, because I think if you want them in this environment for the relationship to work and for them to thrive and for them to be really focused on being there for those reasons

If you have things to distract - whether its presenters turn up or extra cameras or whatever it is - you want to remain in that bubble for as long as possible, I think.

So, us dipping in every second we would like to I think that would make them even more aware that theyre on telly.
