A bloke was roasted on social media for resembling a "grocery store brand" Robert Downey Jr. However, opinions remain divided. Robert Downey Jr, commonly referred to as RDJ, boasts one of the most instantly recognisable faces on the planet.

The pictures he's starred in have raked in over 14.3 billion globally, making Robert, who marks his 61st birthday today, amongst the most commercially successful actors ever.

He's most famous for portraying Tony Stark across ten Marvel Cinematic Universe productions and for his role as Lewis Strauss in Oppenheimer.

His trophy cabinet includes numerous accolades, featuring an Academy Award for best supporting actor in Oppenheimer, two BAFTAs for best supporting performances in Oppenheimer and Chaplin, alongside two Critics Choice awards, one Emmy, four Golden Globes, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Being amongst the world's most identifiable performers inevitably leads to people mimicking Robert's appearance or the distinctive facial hair he sported while embodying Tony Stark.

Yet when Chris Terrell began sharing videos on TikTok, his comments were swamped with remarks from viewers claiming he bore a resemblance to RDJ.

He responded to one observation stating: "Okay, but why do you look like grocery store brand Tony Stark?"

Chris replied: "Okay everybody we have got to get one thing straight, I'm at least Target brand Robert Downey Jr, okay? None of this Wish.com or great value brand, or K-Mart brand which some people have thrown around.

"I have standards, so if I'm going to imitate Robert Downy Jr. it's going to be at least Target brand."

Thousands of people chimed in under the video Chris posted to debate his resemblance, as they couldn't reach a consensus.

One person remarked: "You even sounds like him!". A second added: "You sound like him so that gives you extra points which levels you up officially to target brand RDJ."

A third exclaimed: "You look so much like him it's uncanny! Please say something from Iron Man!!" Another individual noted: "you even sound like him omg."

However, others disagreed, with one person quipping: "Iron deficiency man." And another stating: "mmm you barely look like him tho so I'd say the lowest brand whatever that is... like Walmart brand or something."

A third joked: "Robert Downey jr. from Ali Express."
