The Masked Singer UK viewers slam 'ludicrous decision' after elimination

ITV viewers were left furious as one star was unmasked as Toastie on The Masked Singer.

Following weeks of captivating performances, ITV audiences finally discovered the identity concealed beneath Toastie's outfit on The Masked Singer.

Saturday evening (February 14) saw the contest bring back its trio of finalists to perform: Moth, Toastie and Conkers.

This followed Sloth and Can of Worms being eliminated from the final the previous week, revealing themselves as two surprising celebrities.

Each enigmatic performer took their turn to entertain the celebrity judging panel once more, with audiences witnessing Moth deliver 'I Want to Know What Love Is', Conkers performing Five's 'Keep On Movin'' and Toastie powering through 'A Star is Born'.

Nevertheless, Toastie claimed third position in the contest as the panel speculated about the mystery identirt, reports the Mirror.

Ultimately, viewers discovered that vocalist Mica Paris had been hiding behind the extravagant disguise throughout the series.

Social media quickly buzzed with reactions to the elimination, with numerous fans expressing disappointment that she hadn't secured a spot in the final two.

One viewer declared: "Ludicrous decision should have been Toastie vs Moth in the final. Imagine not putting Mica Paris into the final for the sake of some bloke dressed like a Conker who can't f****n sing."

Another commented: "This audience would vote Conker the winner! Idiots!"

A further supporter stated: "Toastie should have gone through #maskedsingeruk" One viewer posted: "Is this show fixed? How did Toastie lose to Conker?" Another fan questioned: "How the f**k is conker in but Toastie out?".

Reflecting on her experience, Mica revealed: "Jonathan and Davina, I've known forever! I love you both. [I thought], they're going to know. But, you guys struggled a little bit!"

Jonathan admitted that Mica's improved vocal performance actually made it harder for him to recognise her voice.

The revealed celebrity continued: "I've had the best time! I wanted to do it for my grandkids."

She disclosed that whilst her family knew she was filming a programme, they remained unaware it was The Masked Singer.

Mica expressed: "I'm telling you, I'm so proud that I've made it to the final.
