Mona the Vampire was a must-watch in every millennial's after-school routine, first gracing our TV screens back in 1999 and running for four seasons.

The Canadian programme, broadcast into our childhood living rooms via CBBC, revolved around the imaginative Mona Parker who was convinced her hometown was infested with monsters.

She would morph into her alter ego, Mona the Vampire, to protect her town from these creatures, accompanied by her cat and best mates Lily Duncan and Charley Bones. When it came to battling monsters, her pals also assumed their own alter-egos, Princess Giant and Zapman.

The much-loved horror series may have concluded years ago (the final episode aired in 2006), but its fanbase, now all adults, still hold dear memories of the show and discuss it on nostalgic TV forums.

One former viewer posted on Reddit: "I was raised in Mexico and I used to watch this in Spanish. Now my daughter watches it on YouTube and it's the only 'old' cartoon of mine that she likes. She hates Looney Tunes and Rugrats but will watch this."

Another shared: "I used to watch this in Cuba in the 2000s. Amazing memories. Will rewatch as a 26-year-old," while a third wrote: "Everyday was Halloween when Mona the Vampire was on."

Considering it's been nearly two decades since Mona the Vampire's grand finale and almost 30 years since its debut, fans might be curious about what happened to the voice cast that brought these beloved characters to life.

Canadian actress Emma Taylor-Isherwood lent her voice to the main character Mona Parker. Now 38, she seems to have reduced her voice acting work in recent years.

Her latest acting credit was as the voice of Angel in the animated children's comedy series Kuu Kuu Harajuku, which aired until 2019.

Fans of Mona the Vampire might not know that Emma also voiced Little Red Riding Hood in Shrek and an unnamed child in Toy Story.

Lily Duncan (Princess Giant)

One of Canadian native Carrie Finlay's first professional acting roles was voicing Lily Duncan and her alter-ego Princess Giant.

Around the same time she was working on Mona the Vampire, she was also providing the voice for Binky's younger sister, Mei-Lin Barnes, in another millennial favourite: Arthur.

The 39-year-old has since retired from voice acting and now works in the legal sector. Her LinkedIn profile currently states that she's the legal director at a London law firm specialising in film and television.

Charley Bones (Zapman)

Justin Bradley was the voice behind Charley Bones and Zapman, but he also voiced another iconic children's character.

The 40 year old Canadian voiced the lead character Arthur Read in Season 6 of the animated series Arthur, taking over from Michael Yarmush.

He has also appeared on screen, with a recurring role in the noughties drama series Naturally, Sadie. He also featured as a student in 2011's Beastly alongside Vanessa Hudgens.
