Netflix Love is Blind UK fans convinced Freddie is 'hiding' something after Real Housewives bombshell

Love is Blind UK fans reckon that one of the show's most popular contestants, Freddie Powell, is simply too good to be true

Love is Blind UK fans reckon one of this season's popular contestants is hiding something as fans swear they've seen him on another popular TV show.

The hit reality show has been an international success on Netflix and has recently launched in the UK. Hosted by husband and wife duo Matt and Emma Willis, the social experiment sees single men and women look for love and get engaged, all before meeting in person.

The singletons get to know each other via 'pods,' where they can chat without seeing each other. From there, they can choose to get to know each other more before meeting in person.

Fans believe Freddie, from Bolton, previously appeared on the Real Housewives of Cheshire(Image: Netflix)

Among the participants this year is 32-year-old Freddie Powell, from Bolton, Greater Manchester. The funeral director recently caused a stir when he revealed he'd want a prenup if he was to get married. He's been getting to know Catherine Richards on the show.

However fans can't help but wonder what the Boltonian is hiding. People previously worked out that Freddie used to be a butler in the buff, with photos of him in the role on Instagram. Some viewers reckon they remember seeing him working as a nude butler on The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

Taking to Reddit, one user asked: "Why is everyone assuming Freddie must be hiding something just because he's attractive and nice?", adding: "People are literally digging and nitpicking on his past, making theories about him being a secret weirdo, hiding something about his personality, just because he's attractive, successful and 'too good' to be single at 32. Maybe he's just tired of girls coming to him for his looks/status, and wants someone with a genuine connection?".

One fan responded: "We have been hoodwinked by guys in the past that seemed like such genuine and sweet men but we found out after the show aired that it was all an act," but then reasoned: "Freddie might be a wonderful guy who is just as perfect and genuine as he appears to be but I think considering we have been hoodwinked so many times it isn't that strange to question if it might just be a faade".

Another agreed: "Cause we've been bamboozled, mislead and LEAD ASTRAY every damn season of this damn show. Don't act brand new." A third echoed: "Freddie's red flag seems to be the lack of obvious red flags and I think we're all a little jaded".

However other fans reckoned some of Freddie's actions have made him appear more genuine than past contestants. One person pointed out: "The way he cried, the way guys around him would talk to him and about him and cheered for him on his engagement, the way he speaks and gets happy and shy, dude has to be an Academy Award winner if he turns out be bad".

Another wrote: "I find him a lot more emotionally mature than I first expected and it hurts to see him doubting himself when Catherine is being short with him. He's actually very aware of what he wants and needs, for example the prenup and how he talks about his family, and encourages Catherine in positive ways. The fact that he's a funeral director really highlights how emotionally mature and stable he is."
