The grand finale of reality programme Married At First Sight Australia is rapidly approaching, but not without one final twist. This follows what was described as a 'brutal' challenge that subjected the couples to one last examination.

More than a dozen strangers wed upon meeting for the very first time as part of the distinctive social experiment. The degree of success has been mixed, to put it mildly.

Throughout recent weeks, viewers have been captivated by numerous dramatic developments and surprises, with its conclusion scheduled to air for British audiences this week.

There have also been countless arguments and couples withdrawing from the programme as the weeks have progressed. One pair even chose to separate just days before the experiment's finale.

Before the remaining couples prepare to exchange their Final Vows and determine whether their relationship can flourish in the real world, some fans might question how many episodes remain, reports OK!.

So how many episodes comprise a complete MAFS season? Here's everything you need to know.

How many episodes in MAFS Australia Season 13?

In total, there are 39 episodes making up the 13th season of Married At First Sight Australia. The overwhelming majority have now been shown in the UK.

This represents a massive jump from the inaugural season, which featured just six episodes altogether. Nevertheless, it isn't the highest number for a single season.

That record belongs to Season 6, which contained 41 episodes, while last year's Season 12 featured 40. Originally, this season's episodes were broadcast in its home country of Australia between February and April 2026. This has meant that fans in the UK have been playing catch up for roughly a month, including having to dodge major spoilers from cast members on social media.

Last week saw the airing of the season's final dinner party, with plenty of drama leading up to the Final Vows. However, according to the schedule, there's even more excitement in store.

Even the experts have been stunned by some of the dramatics(Image: E4)

Episodes have been airing on E4 from Monday to Thursday, and the upcoming week will follow a similar pattern. On Monday, May 11, viewers will witness the Final Vows, where couples make their ultimate decision about whether to stay with their partner, marking the conclusion of the experiment in episode 37.

This will be followed by a dramatic two-part reunion, mirroring how it was originally aired in Australia. These episodes will be broadcast on consecutive nights, Tuesday, May 12 and Wednesday, May 13.

Married At First Sight Australia continues Monday at 7.30pm on E4 and streaming on Channel 4.
