The countdown is nearly finished as the new series of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa broadcasts next week.

ITV audiences will witness some recognisable faces returning to the jungle to attempt earning 'Legend' status amongst their fellow campmates.

Participating in the programme, which will again be presented by Ant and Dec, will be Gemma Collins, Adam Thomas, David Haye, and Seann Walsh.

Additionally participating in the series will be Sir Mo Farah, Craig Charles, Jimmy Bullard, Beverley Callard, Ashley Roberts, and Harry Redknapp.

Scarlett Moffatt is another celebrity battling for the title in the forthcoming programme, having triumphed in the original show back in 2016, reports the Express.

Featuring on Thursday's This Morning (April 2) to discuss her experience on the programme, she admitted there was one moment she feared they were in peril.

Dermot O'Leary pointed out that one occasion when he had to film in South Africa, production had to be halted because of the wildlife.

Asking if the camp encountered anything similar, she disclosed they did. She explained: "I did think at one point, have I signed a waiver for my life and just not known about it?

"There was one day we went to go down this beautiful waterfall but we couldn't go because there was a family of mamba snakes! Casual, I was like, 'Are we in danger here?'"

Elsewhere during the programme, Scarlett disclosed how much tougher it was for her this time around. She added, "We're all fighting for legend status, and honestly, they made us fight for it. It was hardcore.

"I thought, I'm a massive fan of the show, I'm a bit of an encyclopedia of it, I thought I knew what I'm getting into. No, I didn't know anything, it was awful!"

The 35-year-old reflected on how different her experience was this time around in the jungle, having last participated a decade ago when she was just 25.

Scarlett is now a mother to a young lad named Jude, whom she shares with her partner Scott Dobinson. She remarked: "I had just turned 25 when I first went in there, I was a baby!

"I'm 10 years older, five clothes sizes heavier, I've got a baby and a fiance, I've matured, I'm wiser now. I think it was a lot more difficult. I have my little boy to miss.

"I didn't realise how much that would change the whole thing, but I can't believe it's been a whole decade! I can't believe I'm still allowed on the telly, I don't know how I'm still winging this."
