Strictly's Gorka Marquez snaps at Gemma Atkinson over jacket 'be careful'

It appears that sparks were flying during an episode of Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Marquez's show with his partner Gemma Atkinson.

The pair, who first crossed paths on the BBC dance programme in 2017, had their own reality series on U, giving fans a glimpse into their lives beyond the sparkle and glamour of Strictly.

Gemma and Gorka: Life Behind the Lens initially aired in 2023 and spanned two seasons, but it was sadly announced last year that it wouldn't be returning for another series.

However, this week, a snippet from a previous episode was posted on U's Instagram account, revealing the Strictly professional was somewhat sensitive about his attire ahead of his dance performance.

As Gemma was helping Gorka out of his jacket, she confessed she wasn't keen on the pearls, though she did like the jacket itself, reports Wales Online.

While she was removing it, he abruptly said: "Careful, careful! Not like that, just gentle. No, don't do that! Just hold it like that. Do not bend it, you need to hold it."

When asked how his show was progressing, Gorka shared that it had been successful and that they had assembled some outfits for the opening weekend.

Spotting a pair of trainers on the floor, Gemma noticed a pair she fancied and wondered if she could try them on.

Her husband, however, wasn't enthusiastic about the idea, as he commented: "No, cos you will ruin them. You are very aggressive putting them on. Be gentle."

Baffled, Gemma questioned how she'd damage them as she retorted: "Aggressive? Putting on a shoe?"

Gorka added, "Yeah, you will throw it and go like that on your feet." However, Gemma didn't seem fazed by his comment as she joked he had gone 'loco' to their son.

It wasn't long before viewers began commenting on the throwback clip from the programme, including Gemma, who quipped, "God forbid a pearl fall off the jacket."

One person added: "You're both so funny." Someone else commented: "I love these two!"

Another person said, "I love you two, you are the best, so happy together." As one viewer shared: "Such a diva."
