Susanna Reid dons swimsuit and makes surprise return to GMB as she's told major news

Susanna Reid is currently on holiday in Ibiza but was called away from her 'day rave' to make a quick return to the ITV show to be told some huge news by her fellow stars

Susanna Reid made a surprisingly early return to hosting Good Morning Britain

Susanna Reid surprisingly made a return to Good Morning Britain on Tuesday morning (August 18). She dialled into the show while on holiday to be told some huge news by her fellow GMB stars.

Beloved ITV presenter Susanna, 55, has been taking her summer break from Good Morning Britain, trading the UK for the sweltering heat of Ibiza. Instead of telling viewers the biggest stories of the day, she was instead letting loose at a "day rave".

The host has long gushed over the Spanish holiday island, often describing it as her happy place. But this year, her holiday was made even better as she was given some fantastic news thanks to her ITV co-stars.

As the morning news show came on air, entertainment reporter Richard Arnold gathered all the big stars of the show, including hosts Ranvir Singh and Richard Madeley. He also got weather presenter Laura Tobin and news presenter Jonathan Swain together before video-calling Susanna, as well as regular hosts Kate Garraway and Ed Balls.

Then, Richard broke the news that Good Morning Britain had been nominated for a lavish award. The show is now up for winning a National Television Award in the Daytime category for the upcoming ceremony.

Susanna was floored as she heard the news, wearing a bright pink shirt and a pair of tinted sunglasses, as well as a number of festival wristbands. During the chat, Susanna revealed that she was in Ibiza and had been letting loose on her summer vacation.

Susanna got the famous O Beach dancers to rally behind her in getting fans to vote for GMB

"Normally what happens in Ibiza stays in Ibiza but this morning I am on special duty for GMB," she beamed. "We are absolutely the best daytime.

"By the way, yesterday I was at one of the best daytime clubs in Ibiza other daytime clubs are available and I had a little heads up. They had the lovely women out doing the placards I think you have a photograph."

After a small delay, producers showed a snap of the famous O Beach dancers holding up placards that read 'Vote GMB'. Susanna was stood in front of them, wearing a pair of denim shorts and tiny black string top as she put on a busty display.

Once the broadcast was over, Susanna reshared the snap to her personal Instagram, as she urged her followers to vote for the show to win. "VOTE GMB! We are up for Best Daytime Programme at the incredible NTAs so I celebrated at one of Ibizas best daytime clubs," before tagging the O Beach club.

Fans were quick to rush to the comments to confirm they would be getting behind the GMB team, with one user penned: "Absolutely voting GMB! Looking sensational Susanna!" While a second added: "Hope you had a great day."
