A couple on A Place in the Sun were left emotional as they searched for their dream home.

A guest on A Place in the Sun was left in tears minutes into viewing a property. Mandy and Mick were looking for their dream home in Spain, in a repeat episode airing on Tuesday, August 18.

The couple met over 40 years ago, having known each other growing up, but it wasnt until many years later that they got together. Engaged at the time of filming, after Mandy was reintroduced to Mick through his sister, the couple were hoping to eventually move to Costa Blanca, Spain with Mick being close to retirement.

Speaking to presenter Ben Hillman, Mandy and Mick shared their thoughts behind the move. This is your forever, Ben told them, as Mandy confirmed: It is, it will be.

The pair were looking for a property that was a detached villa with its own pool, and plenty of outdoor space to host friends and family.

With a budget of 230,000, plus an extra 10,000 wiggle room, they were looking for a property with at least two large bedrooms if not three.

Were so excited! Mick enthused.

Their excitement increased with each of the five properties they saw, and at one point, Mandy was left in tears.

Seeing her reaction, Ben said: Obviously, its making you very emotional.

She replied: This is your typical, Spanish feel. The open plan its not very often that I go speechless, but wow.

Ben went on: I think when youve decided to change your life in the past Mandy, youve made these really bold decisions to go and live abroad.

Youve done this before, you know what its like to set up a new life in a new country. Did it take a lot for Mandy to convince you to move abroad, Mick?

Mick shared: Im relying on her expertise, but Im willing to just give it a go, give it the best weve got.

As they continued their tour of the property, the couple couldnt contain their excitement, with Ben adding: Just when you think things cant get any better, they do! Tears and everything!

Mandy praised: I couldnt wish for better this is how I envisioned it to be.
