Biography
Mike McMahon was appointed as the Independent Adjudicator for the Adjudicators Office in October 2023.
Mike was in post as the Adjudicators Office Head of Office from September 2020. Prior to this, he worked for the Financial Ombudsman Service where he held a number of technical and operational roles including Head of Quality Assurance and oversight of the technical Learning and Development department.
Mike spent 9 years as an ombudsman, investigating and issuing legally binding decisions on financial services complaints. He also managed a team of junior ombudsman and provided technical training for the ombudsman panel.

The Adjudicator
The Adjudicator is independent and reviews complaints about HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC ), and the Valuation Office Agency ( VOA ), within the UK. The Adjudicator is not a civil servant and is not an employee of HMRC .
