Gladiator actor Paul Mescal's mother Dearbhla shared a heartwarming Instagram post celebrating her eldest son as he turns 30

Paul Mescal's proud mom has posted a touching tribute to her oldest son as he celebrates his 30th birthday.

Sharing an adorable snapshot of the Gladiator star as a tiny infant, Dearbhla Mescal penned an emotional message honoring her cherished child, who just hit the milestone age, reports the Irish Mirror. Paul turned 30 on February 2.

The Hamnet actor's mother, who welcomed Paul into the world when she was 27, expressed how her award-winning son 'expanded her heart, mind and soul' - along with the joy she experiences witnessing the 'hearts he has gathered in his circle'.

"My eldest is 30! How can that be?" she said.

"These are my quiet thoughts...I was 27 when my heart was burst open," Paul's mom revealed in the touching Instagram tribute.

"You came a month early rushing into our world, you're being too bright to stay away. My universe began a journey into colour, light, depth and imagination.

"I was captivated. The whole of you spun so fast at the joy of being here."
