Meghan Markle has received praise from former ITV star Holly Willoughby over her programme, 'With Love, Meghan'.

Meghan, 45, who recently celebrated her birthday, has attempted several business and media ventures since she and Prince Harry left the UK in 2020.

Former This Morning presenter Holly recently published her first YouTube videos on her Holly Willoughby Together channel. The episodes, which have received mixed reviews so far, are her biggest jump since leaving This Morning in 2023 where she was a presenter for over a decade.

Speaking to the Times she jumped to the defence of Meghan's show when she discussed their similarities and how they had been received. Holly's own show has included guests such as comedian Katherine Ryan and Stanley Tucci.

She said: I know it got an absolute hammering, but I actually really enjoyed her show.

Addressing her own show, Holly defended it and said its success was in the hands of whether anyone wanted to watch it. She said: "Im not being forced upon anybody.

"So at least you know that whoevers watching or subscribing now, theyre there because they want to be. I know Im not everyones cup of tea. So fine, watch or dont. You have the control. Its up to you now.

Whilst Holly, a mother-of-three, has been appearing on YouTube, Meghan has been appearing on MasterChef Australia as a guest judge. The recently broadcast episode, filmed in April when Meghan was in the country with Harry, featured the Duchess as a guest judge.

Speaking on the programme about her relationship with food, the mother-of-two said: Food and cooking to me is really a love language. I think its such a great way to connect. Its something that can feel sentimental and meaningful and it's how I show my nurturing and love for my friends, family, and my kids.

Holly's defence of Meghan comes as speculation grows about whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will return to the UK and what that could look like.

While Harry has returned several times in the past few years, Meghan and the children have been less frequent visitors. Meghan's trip to the UK last month was the first time she had stepped foot in the UK since 2022.

Speaking to Hello!, PR expert Nick Ede suggested that Meghan's content could work in her favour, but only if it's the right content.

He explained: "If Meghan consistently delivers engaging content and develops a clear identity independent of the royal story, she doesn't need reconciliation to succeed. It would certainly remove a major distraction, but the strength of her future brand will be built on trust, consistency and giving people a reason to stay interested beyond the headlines."

Meanwhile, The Atticism's Renae Smith told the Express, that Meghan could also take a leaf out of Harry's book by being extremely focused on why she was visiting the UK and avodiing any "explosive" interviews.

She added: "Will it fix anything? I don't think so, not yetIf Meghan repeated this approach, say another ten times, then yes, I genuinely think people would slowly begin to soften towards her - even just slightly."
