The 20th FIFA World Cup ended in a way many had predicted: Germany cavorting across the hallowed turf of Rio's Maracana with the trophy in their mitts. But the month-long football festival that led us to that point was sensational - from England's hapless group-stage exit to Luis Suarez being banned AGAIN for biting and hosts Brazil being smashed 7-1 by the eventual winners in the semis. Roll on Russia 2018!
