Many people opt to try and new perfume for summer, and if you're wanting to but don't have too much to spend on it, then you may want to listen up. Aldi's cult cruelty-free beauty brand, Lacura, has launched a new seasonal scent - which has been "designed to evoke the feeling of a tropical escape".

The fragrance Lacura Golden Solstice Eau de Parfum - hit the supermarket in July. It has had some people comparing it to Este Lauders Bronze Goddess Eau de Parfum, and at 6.99 per 100ml, it's a whopping 91% cheaper than the former, which is 68.

Online reviewers consistently describe the new scent as a "holiday in a bottle" with a warm, bright, and sunny profile.

Keen to see how it compared to Este Lauders Bronze Goddess Eau de Parfum, I was lucky enough to be sent a bottle to try out Aldi's Golden Solstice Eau de Parfum out.

The fragrance blends creamy coconut, frangipani, soft florals (like lily), and a warm amber base to create a summery scent that definitely is a great dupe for the designer version.

I've seen some people complain that the scent only lasts for 30 minutes, however I found the complete opposite - with it still being present on my skin even after washing!

Some shoppers have also said they feel like the physical bottle and packaging 'looks cheap', however I reckon it would looking stylish on any dressing table. Plus, it's great for the money that you're paying.

If I'm honest, I still think I'd opt for the Este Lauder perfume out of the two of them, however if you're on a budget or want something for everyday that isn't going to break the bank, this is a great option.

As well as the Golden Solstice Eau de Parfum, Aldi is also reintroducing its popular Lacura Elara Eau de Parfum (6.99, 100ml).

This offers savings of 88% (50) to Kylie Jenners Cosmic scent, with fragrance offering soft, sensual notes of amber and delicate florals, settling into a warm vanilla base.

Alongside its fragrance range, Aldi is also bringing back its shopper-favourite Lacura Wonder Haircare collection, available in stores from 26th July.

The Lacura Wonder Fix (2.99, 12ml) returns as a precision styling wand infused with panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) and Jojoba Wax. It is designed to tame flyaways, smooth frizz and add shine for a sleek, polished finish.

While the Lacura Wonder Shine Spray (4.99, 160ml) combines Hydrolysed Rice Protein, Blue Sea Kale Extract and an Amino Acid Complex to provide instant detangling, lightweight moisture and UV protection.

Finally, the Lacura Wonder Mask (4.99, 215ml) returns as a fan favourite. This deeply hydrating, rinse-out treatment is powered by algae, blue sea kale and hydrolysed vegetable protein. The nutrient-rich formula works to help repair damage, restore shine and support healthier-looking hair in just 35 minutes - ideal for sleeker, stronger locks throughout summer and beyond.
