Prince Harry is hoping to make more regular visits to the UK after a successful trip to his home country in July saw him reunite with his father King Charles. Just weeks ago, the Duke of Sussex spent five days in Britain, as he attended an event to mark the official one year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games, which will take place in Birmingham.
While in the UK, Harry was joined by his wife Meghan Markle and their children Archie and Lilibet, as the family spent private family time with King Charles and Queen Camilla in Highgrove, in what was the monarchs first meeting with his grandchildren in four years.
No details of the meeting were made public, but it is believed the family meeting, and Harrys trip as a whole, were a success.
As a result of the July visit, it has been reported that Harry wants to return to his home country every few months, as he continues his charity work in the UK, and works towards a reconciliation with the Royal Family.
A source close to the royal revealed he is following "the way the wind is blowing", and that he will want to be in the UK "more and more". Speaking to The Times, a source said: "The template for his visits has been working well, so the frequency of trips will increase, especially in the run-up to Invictus which hes determined to make the best games yet.
"So hell be coming back and forth a lot more, every few months. The way the wind is blowing, hes going to want to be here more and more. Hes happy these trips can now have more focus on the patronages and be less obscured by the other nonsense. He wants more of a foothold here, more trips back, less courtroom drama. And he always loves seeing his family."
Before his most recent trip, the last time Harry met with his father was in September 2025, when the Duke was in the UK for the annual WellChild Awards, of which he is Patron. Harry was also in England in January as he gave evidence in his High Court case against the Daily Mail publisher Associated Newspapers Limited, but did not see the King on this occasion.
Harry is expected to travel to the UK next July for the 2027 Invictus Games, in which he has hoped the King will attend in an official capacity. It is also believed the Duke may be in his home country for the 30th anniversary of the death of his mother, the late Princess Diana, on August 31 next year.
After his most recent visit, a royal source said that Harry would like to come to the UK more frequently, as he continues to mend his relationship with his father, and hopes the King will publicly support him at next years Invictus Games.
The source said: "There's no doubt he [Harry] enjoyed his time in the UK with his family, especially getting the opportunity to see his father with his wife and children.
"The last few years have been incredibly emotional for him, and now he's reached a place where he wants to not only visit his home country more, but also would really like to be with his family. If the King were to attend the Invictus Games next year, and appear in public with him, it would be a huge moment for all of them.
While it is believed Harry wants to spend more quality time in the UK, he is continuing to fight to have his taxpayer-funded police protection reinstated, as he has previously claimed it is not safe to bring his wife and children to England without adequate security.
