Staff Writer
Quinton is a Staff Writer from the United States. In his youth, Quinton was ridiculed for making video game ranking lists instead of paying attention in math class. In adulthood, people sometimes pay him for it. Life's a trip.
Taking his first steps into the industry in 2020, Quinton has written for several digital publications, but his permanent literary home is right here at TheGamer.
Before striking up a conversation with Quinton, consider the risks: he'll find a way to transform almost any topic into an analysis of either world history, Star Trek, or - at least this one's relevant to his career - all his favorite role-playing games.
There is nothing Quinton loves more than to wax poetic over JRPGs. From Final Fantasy and Xenoblade Chronicles to Shin Megami Tensei and its Persona offspring, he'll be there in a flash when something new is on the horizon. But Quinton's equally enamored with the past; don't get him started on why Xenogears deserves the HD-2D treatment. He won't. Stop. Talking.
Don't mistake Quinton's JRPG obsession for a distaste toward the Western variety, for all genres of RPG must be loved and cherished. His favorite WRPG series include The Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age.
In his role as a Staff Writer, Quinton contributes to TheGamer in several ways, from penning guides and lists to the occasional interview or opinion piece. Above all else, Quinton proudly serves his coworkers by being charmingly frustrating on a daily basis, but never quite crossing the line into genuinely irritating.
Quinton has been privileged with the chance to interview key personnel in the creation of Star Ocean: The Second Story R, the 2023 remake of a beloved PlayStation classic. It would be one of his proudest career moments regardless, but when the director complimented his choice in Zoom background - a Star Ocean screenshot, naturally - Quinton's life transformed forever.
He also got to meet Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy director Naoki Hamaguchi and explore his hometown for the first time in two decades all in a single day. (It helps that Quinton's hometown is New York City.)
Dungeon-diving in Fortune's Weave means traditional turn-based is coming to Fire Emblem.

Solid numbers for Square Enix's second installment in this ongoing saga.
We also have more insight as to what precisely the writers are aiming for with Zack's arc.
No, it almost certainly will not be "Reunion."
I... guess that makes sense...?
So say we all, Sakimoto-san.
Any Genshin Impact team needs a healer. Which characters are best suited to fill that role? We cover both dedicated healers and support characters.
Steam Deck now joins PS5, Xbox Series, and both generations of Switch in this regard.
Congratulations, I guess.
Also, if you were one of the few who seriously thought TES6 is coming in 2027, maybe it's time to accept the truth.
All good things must come to an end.
Those who purchase any of the Founder's Packs can hop on in.
It does seem increasingly likely that Housemarque's Returnal follow-up started off poorly.
Vana'diel doesn't die.
Ten years later, we can finally give this one a go.
