A BRIDE-TO-BE has been savaged by a bear after she was dragged from her tent in the dead of night – just one day after getting engaged.
Snezhana Korolyova, 29, was mauled to death during a romantic camping tripin the Altai Mountains of Russia in southern Siberia.

The couple were awoken to the beast tearing apart their tent around 1am before it “hauled the screaming woman away”.
It savagely killed the newly engaged woman before carrying her body across the Biya River to bury her, according to reports.
Gamekeepers and Russian cops shot in the air but did not aim at the beast despite “having the opportunity to kill it” due to shooting restrictions in the area.

A witness named Alina said: It wouldnt give her up and… dragged her across the river.”

Snezhana’s remains were reportedly found at the site where the animal had buried her with officials only able to access it once the beast was frightened away.
From the Novosibirsk region, the savaged woman was an employee of Russias Emergencies Ministry and had been staying with her fiance at the Istok holiday campsite in Artybash village.

Locals said around 20 bears routinely roam around the village.
Alina continued: “What infuriated people most was that, despite having the opportunity to kill a man-eating bear, the uniformed officers fired into the air, citing a ban on shooting at a target within a populated area.
“How does that make sense?”
Another camper said her sister narrowly escaped the same bear that night.
She said: “We came face to face with it. My sister fell over and crawled into a hut while lying on the ground.
“A man who happened to be driving past saved her. What a hero!
“He shone his headlights at the bear and it ran across the road. He even dented his cars wing hitting it.”
The bear remains at large, according to local reports.
A ten-day “state of alert” was issued for the village following the horror attack.
A representative of the Mayminsky District Society of Hunters and Fishermen said the slashing of hunting days for wild animals led to an increase in bear attacks.
He said: “The hunting season was shortened to 30 days. Because of this, the bear population has begun to increase.
“There’s little hunting, the bears are reproducing, and the food supply is scarce nuts are scarce so they simply come out to hunt people when they’re hungry.”
The Altai Republic prosecutors office has opened an inquiry into the womans death.
It comes as a brother and sister were mauled to death in India after a bear attacked them in a field.
