RYAN GARCIA has made his prediction for Rolly Romero vs Teofimo Lopez – and wants to fight the winner.

Romero defends the WBA welterweight title he won against Garcia on Saturday in Las Vegas, with Lopez challenging.

But it will not be the first time the pair have shared the ring following dozens of sparring rounds in the past.

And Garcia – the WBC welterweight champion – reckons Lopez has the mental edge after getting the better in those sessions.

“Probably Teofimo,” he told Ring Magazine when asked to predict a winner. “I feel like Teofimo has his number.

“I think the sparring is going to play a part in it and I feel like Rollies, they’re both going to have a sense of hesitation because of the sparring.

“But I think because when Teofimo really, really believes in himself, he didn’t seem like he was confident in Shakur [Stevenson] at all in the lead up.

“But I think this fight he knows what to do with Rollies.”

Garcia, 28, was beaten on points by Romero, 30, in May 2025.

But he bounced back in February to beat Mario Barrios, 31, for the WBC belt.

Romero meanwhile is yet to return but does so in the first defence of his WBA title against Lopez, 29.

“I want to fight Teofimo-Rolly winner, that’s how I want to end my Golden Boy career with,” Garcia said.

Garcia – who takes on 29-year-old Brit Conor Benn on September 12 – insisted he will eventually rematch Romero.

“That’s not my best,” Garcia said while reflecting on the loss.

“But one day, if I could complete a side mission to like redeem myself for that or like uh write that wrong, I will.

“But right now, I feel like I have bigger fish to fry and it’s going to happen.

“But it’s going to happen when I’m like, ‘All right, let me just fill this little thing in I have to do.'”
