Long delays near M4 at Cardiff after huge queues form

Traffic has returned to normal on the A4232. There were long queues for those heading towards this afternoon as congestion built up between the M4 and Culverhouse Cross.

Traffic on the dual carriageway is now flowing freely, with only some short delays around the Culverhouse Cross junction remaining.

Delays are starting to ease following rush hour, but there are still queues for drivers around Culverhouse Cross. Here is the latest image from Traffic Wales cameras at the junction:

There is heavy congestion on a number of stretches of the A4232, according to AA Traffic Planner. The busiest areas are just off the M4 and around Culverhouse Cross.

There is congestion in both directions, the latest images from Traffic Wales cameras show. There is some slow traffic for drivers heading out of Cardiff towards the M4, but the longest delays are for those heading to the city.

The slowest traffic is around the Culverhouse Cross junction.
