Bastille, Billy Ocean and David Gray bring their finest performances to Cardiff Castle this week

Three more acts are visiting Cardiff this month to entertain crowds at the city's castle. Following on from Katy Perry, Bowling For Soup, and the Blackbird Festival, July 9-11 sees soul pop legend Billy Ocean, indie lads Bastille and soulful piano hitmaker David Gray on stage at the iconic venue.

The action at the castle continues until mid-August with acts like Sex Pistols, Hollywood Vampires, and Talking Heads frontman David Byrne. From superstar gigs to cosy pubs, find out Whats On in Wales by signing up to our newsletter here.

Below you'll find all the details you need to know as Cardiff Castle gears up for another few days of live music:

Billy Ocean has former Wet Wet Wet frontman, Marti Pellow as a special guest, while David Gray has Irish whimsy indie gods, The Divine Comedy opening for him.

Bastille on Friday has two guest acts, Arthur Hill and Carpetman.

Billy Ocean - Thursday, July 9 - Katie Owen DJ at 6pm/Marti Pellow - 7pm/Billy Ocean - 9pm

Road information for Cardiff Castle events

Castle Street will close half an hour before the events end and reopen when the crowds disperse.

Banned items for Depot Live gigs at Cardiff Castle

Chairs, portable furniture, inflatables or foldable furniture are not allowed into the castle.

Food and drink are not permitted however there are food and drink concessions within the event.

Sealed bottles of soft drinks or water under 500ml are permitted. Additionally you can take in an empty reusable water bottle of any size. You can bring metal, plastic or other materials, but not glass. There will be free water refill stations at the venue.

If you have a medical condition, a doctors note will permit diet-specific food and drink only.

Assistance dogs are permitted on site.

If you are bringing a registered assistance dog, please do let Depot know in the accessible requirements form that is emailed to you by Ticketmaster after purchasing accessible tickets.

Small bags/rucksacks are permitted. Bag searches will be in operation.

Where to park?

There is lots of parking in Cardiff city centre including at Sophia Gardens and the Civic Centre - both very near to the castle. City centre car parks are also available at: St David's Shopping Centre, John Lewis, Capitol Shopping Centre, and NCP (Adam Street, Dumfries Place and Greyfriars Road).
