As the heatwave continues, many people are finding it hard to fall asleep at night or function in the day. Fans are the obvious choice, but many are loud, which prevents many shoppers from using them at bedtime.

Dreo is a popular fan brand, with many of its models available at Amazon. This 20dB Silent Standing Fan costs 79.99 and circulates air up to 27m away to cool down rooms effectively.

Its bionic blade design moves air smoothly at 20dB, promising 'quieter than a whisper' noise levels. Helpfully, users can also mute the beep sounds with a one-touch on the remote, making this quiet fan perfect for bedtime.

The cooling fan has eight speeds and an auto mode that adjusts fan speeds. It also has a detachable design, allowing users to remove the blade, front grille, and rear grille separately for easy cleaning.

Going back to Amazon's DREO 20 dB Silent Standing Fan, it has more than 6,000 reviews with 500 bought in the past month alone. One user described it as 'amazing', adding: "Saving me right now in the UK heatwave - better than my Dyson"

Another user compared it to fans from Shark as well as Dyson, commenting: "I rarely write product reviews, but had to for this fan. Brilliant performance, even compared to the more expensive competitors, i.e., Shark, Dyson, etc. With this heatwave in the UK, I was considering an air con unit, but so far this fan has kept us comfortable in bed and made it bearable to work in the office in the day."

Not all the reviews are glowing, as one person pointed out a flaw: "The fan itself is fairly quiet, but the oscillating mechanism makes an awful noise as the fan spins on its axis."
