This page describes capabilities of the Dynamo background 3D preview.

The background 3D preview in Dynamo is created using the HelixToolkit. Specifically, we use a version of the HelixToolkit which uses SharpDX, a managed wrapper to DirectX.

###Supported Features###

• DirectX 10, all feature levels.
• DirectX 11, feature levels 11_0 and 11_1

###Remote Desktop### Dynamo supports Remote Desktop using the Windows Advanced Rasterization Driver (WARP) driver. This driver, as implemented in the HelixTookit provides software rendering of the same feature level as the device on the machine into which you are remoting.

###Parallels### Dynamo supports Windows running on Parallels on the Mac. As of this writing, Parallels supports DirectX 10. Some features, like line anti-aliasing are also unavailable on Dynamo on Parallels as of this writing.
