Euri Linux (formerly Antergos NeXT) has fully migrated from GitHub to our self-hosted Gitea forge.
This follows upstream direction: Artix Linux uses Gitea as its official forge, and we align with that standard.

All development, CI/CD, ISO tooling, and package work now lives on our NAS-backed Gitea infrastructure. The migration is finished — this org is kept as an archived historical tombstone.

• All development will move to the new Gitea forge.
• All existing GitHub repositories will be archived after migration.
• The GitHub organization will remain online, but will transition into a bug‑tracker‑only org.
• A new repository named bug-tracker will be created on GitHub for users who prefer GitHub or follow upstream policies.
• All code, pipelines, and releases will live on the self‑hosted forge.

Euri Linux follows upstream direction.
Artix Linux uses Gitea as its official forge, and we will maintain compatibility with upstream workflows, tooling, and contributor expectations.

• Custom theming and branding

• CI/CD runners (native Artix host runner) are operational on the NAS.
• The pacman repo is served straight off the same box via Tailscale Funnel.
• ISO builds run on NAS hardware — slower than cloud CI, fully ours.

The migration aligned us with upstream (Artix uses Gitea) and made the project fully independent and self-hosted.

This isn't a 1:1 replica of anything. Cnchi is retired (too unstable to maintain), outdated design choices and unmaintainable packages are gone, and systemd stays out. The past informs, it doesn't confine.

Euri Linux uses Dinit — it's lightweight, fast, and stays out of the way. Artix provides Dinit, OpenRC, Runit, and S6; we chose Dinit as the supported default because OpenRC has service-enable bugs on installed systems. You can switch to another init via changing-init.md in the ISO repo.

The project launched as Antergos NeXT — a direct nod to the original. After a request from a former team member (who was not Dustin), it was briefly Pulsar Linux; when Dustin Falgout (one of Antergos' three founders) gave his explicit blessing to use the Antergos name, it changed back:

Later the project embraced its own identity as Euri Linux — from Latin eurus, the east wind — keeping the Antergos lineage story visible but standing on its own name.

⚠️ To any press reading this: if you see an article claiming this project is dead or still called "Antergos NeXT", it's outdated. The project is alive and now develops as Euri Linux on self-hosted infrastructure. Check the commit history on Gitea.
