Welcome to the official GitHub organization of Goethe University Frankfurt, managed by the University Library J. C. Senckenberg. This organization serves as a central platform for research software, teaching materials, and open-source projects, supporting collaboration among students, researchers and staff.

This organization provides a central space for:

• developing and distributing research software and teaching materials  
• maintaining and publishing open-source projects of the university  
• fostering collaborative projects within the university  
• establishing common standards and best practices for software projects, see best-practices

The GitHub organization is intended for:

• students, researchers and staff of the Goethe University
• external collaborators where appropriate
