I've been absolutely obsessed with computers and tech for as long as I can remember, practically since birth. I've been told that I was playing basic Flash games on computers before I was even a full year old.
My introduction to programming came from my dad, @ontehfritz, fellow developer and my largest source of early inspiration. When I was eight, he introduced me to C#, teaching me the basics of inputting and outputting text via the console, and making my first text-based narrative game. That moment sparked a lifelong passion for programming.
Many years of self-learning later, thousands of hours of trial & error, late night debugging, and hundreds of hobby projects, I've garnered a deep understanding for the world of logic and software development. What started out as writing simple console applications, gradually evolved into developing full stack web and desktop applications, low-level networking tools, game modifications, dedicated server software, AI-driven tools, and much more.
From 2023-2025, I was completing freelance contract offers, developing custom software for a number of clients, steadily growing my experience with a broken dominant right arm. (Yes, I completed a bulk of my contracts with one hand)
In May 2025, I joined the Department of National Defence of Canada as a software developer as a placement student, with an offer later down the line for permanent employment post-graduation. I accepted this, excitedly.
And, here I am now. I'm not perfect, and in no way do I think I am an amazing software developer, but I do have a tremendous amount of respect and passion for my work and I love learning new things every single day. I'm always interested in new perspectives, design patterns, and workflows.
These are some languages, tools, frameworks, and other development good-ness that I use and recommend.
