I'm the founding AI engineer at HealthBay, where I work on the agent layer of an AI platform for US healthcare claims. Before this, I founded a startup, took it to paying customers, and closed it when the market said so, which taught me to care as much about distribution and reliability as about the model itself.
I think about AI systems the way a founder thinks about a product. The hard part is never the model, it's everything from distribution to holding it up in production.
These days the other half of my attention goes to AI safety, chain-of-thought faithfulness, activation monitoring, and oversight. I'd rather help build systems we can actually inspect than ones that just score well.
