The XRPL community is currently debating whether to raise the 1 KB memo limit roughly 1200-fold, so that a transaction could carry media. These two demos were built at today's limit. The size of a memo was never the obstacle — write speed was, and tickets solve that.

Neither site stores a byte of the content: the repositories hold only byte ranges, transaction hashes and checksums. Everything you read or watch arrives from the ledger at load time.
