1. Install Xcode from the App Store

2. Install Xcode Command Line Tools

• run xcode-select --install

2. Install GitHub for Mac

3. Run git config --global push.default current - http://how-we-work.bigbinary.com/git-setup/push-default.html

4. Run `git config --global branch.autosetuprebase always' - http://how-we-work.bigbinary.com/git-setup/autosetuprebase.html

5. Install Homebrew

• run ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" `
• run brew doctor to make sure everything is okay

6. Add homebrew/dupes to take advantage of homebrew packages that replace the Mac built-ins:

• run brew tap homebrew/dupes
