Engineering Leader · Product Engineer · Senior Software Engineer
I build products, engineering systems, and teams.
For more than 15 years, I've worked at the intersection of software engineering, product, and people — from writing code and designing systems to shaping products, leading teams, mentoring engineers, and improving how software gets built.
I'm especially interested in how AI is changing the entire product development loop — not just coding faster, but how we explore ideas, define problems, make technical decisions, slice scope, build, review, test, ship, and learn.
Co-Founder & Product Engineer
Building Avenida end-to-end in close collaboration with Product — from product definition and technical direction to architecture, backend, frontend, infrastructure, and delivery.
It's also where I experiment most with AI-native product development, agentic workflows, engineering automation, and new ways of moving from an idea to production without sacrificing product thinking or engineering quality.
Technologies change. I care more about choosing the right tool, keeping systems understandable, and building software that can evolve without becoming painful to change.
I write about engineering leadership, product development, AI, software delivery, and the small practices that help engineering teams work better.
I'm interested in the operating layer around software engineering: the small practices between strategy and code that help teams make better decisions.
My public playbooks cover topics like:
Decision-making · Risk discovery · Approach reviews · Scope · Delivery · Shipping debriefs · Team practices
I'm a mentor at MentorCruise, where I help software engineers develop stronger skills in:
I particularly enjoy helping engineers move beyond simply implementing tickets toward understanding why we're building something, how to make good trade-offs, and how to increase their impact beyond code.
Building useful products, better engineering systems, and healthier ways of working.
