Hi, I'm David Rodriguez

Senior Computer Science & Data Science Student

Data Science | AI Development | Automation

I am a Senior at CUNY Brooklyn College pursuing a dual major in Computer Science and Data Science. I combine academic theory with practical application, recently serving as a Research & Support Intern at Kapitus where I automated financial data pipelines. As a CUNY Tech Prep Fellow, I developed full-stack AI solutions, including an end-to-end application for the visually impaired. I am passionate about using emerging technologies like Google Gemini and LangChain to solve intricate user issues.

🤖 Blind-Spot | AI-Powered Accessibility Assistant

  • Designed an end-to-end agent pipeline capturing real-time camera frames and feeding them into a Google Gemini-powered model to assist visually impaired users.
  • Achieved 95% uptime in production and implemented request-level caching and history-aware prompts.
  • Containerized a scalable Flask/Gunicorn backend with continuous deployment on Render.

🍎 Food-Chain | Image Classification Model

  • Implemented a classification model using TensorFlow with a 70% success rate to inform users of what they are eating.
