Welcome to my GitHub page! I'm faithvoid, a freelance IT tech, open-source programmer, DJ, archivist, and musician from Canada.

My main programming languages of choice are Python, HTML and C++ and the systems I target are usually *nix-based & ARM-based systems such as the Raspberry Pi, and the Nintendo Switch, but I've been getting into original Xbox & RISC-V development recently!

If any of my Nintendo Switch ports stop working on newer firmwares, please open an issue and I'll recompile with the latest libNX! Please note that my Switch ports are considered "deprecated" now, as I no longer own a Switch and have moved on to the Steam Deck.

XBMC Addons

Projects:

  • sakuraCast - yt-dlp + ffmpeg + pychromecast powered Chromecast casting application, with custom aspect ratio / resolution / overscan support for 4:3 or similar devices.
  • sakuraPresence - Discord Rich Presence server for Playstation 1/2/3/Portable/Vita, Xbox/360, Wii/U, Gamecube, Dreamcast, and more!
  • OpenArenaNX / VoyagerNX - Ports of OpenArena, Quake III Arena and Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force - Holomatch to the Nintendo Switch. (inactive)
  • Cortana - An "Xbox 180" style XBMC4Xbox skin with an emphasis on re-integrating social / multiplayer features. Based on the JX720 skin.
  • Pastel2K - Custom Redmond97 colour palettes for XFCE4!
  • PiHOLED - basic Python script to display Raspberry Pi, Network, PiHole and RetroPie statistics on SH1106-based 1.3 inch (128x64) OLED display HATs
  • MixxxUtilities - Various scripts and programs for simplifying one's workflow in Mixxx.
  • sakura1n - Raspberry Pi Zero based one-click install solution for iOS device jailbreaking.
  • unshittifier - Firefox extension that blocks social media websites subject to enshittification (ie; Meta, X, TikTok) and redirects the user to unshittified equivalents.

Mixxx Controller Mappings:

  • Hercules DJ 4Set (~99%, last things to implement are spinback via Scratch button + keeping LED 1/3 on when looping under 1 beat or over 4 beats).
  • Novation Launchpad X (mostly finished, just need to figure out if LED states and colours can be called via JS for more user customizability).
