I noticed that some new CI checks are now failing. https://github.com/matplotlib/matplotlib/pull/30543/commits/0a744f0ba180dca0a73bf351db89796a9854c7d6 I was wondering if this is an expected outcome, or if there's something new I need to adjust on my end? Any guidance would be much appreciated! |

The stubtest failure is unrelated to this PR. - Likely a change in mypy, which recently released v1.18 - That can be handled independently (opened #30551 for that). |
