This SEP formalizes the release process proposed by the Core Maintainers at MCPCon Europe: March and September releases, overlapping eight-month cycles, rotating release managers, and a shared SEP review queue. It defines sponsorship, CM voting, freeze and SDK milestones, and emergency approvals, with a proposed transition to March 2027.
