This repository contains the user documentation for NGINX's products, as well as the requirements to build and publish the documentation website.

Documentation is written in Markdown, then transformed into HTML using the Hugo static site generator.

If you want to contribute to F5 NGINX documentation, you've come to the right place. We've organized a series of README-type files to help you get started:

• Contributing describes how you can contribute to our documentation.
• Code of Conduct describes expectations in the NGINX open source community.
• License shows the license associated with work on this repository.
• Security describes the procedures we would like you to follow if you find a security issue.
• Support lists how you can get support as a customer or a community member.

You may also find the documentation folder for the repository interesting: it's where we store our process information.

Clone the repository with all submodules:

git clone --recurse-submodules https://github.com/nginx/documentation

If you already have the repository cloned, initialize the submodules:

git submodule update --init
