Keep ESLint compatible with Node >=14
Bumping ESLint to ^9.26.0 makes the dev toolchain require Node 18+, while this project’s engines field still advertises support for Node >=14. In environments that follow package.json (CI or contributors running Node 14/16), npm install/npm run lint will fail because ESLint 9 no longer runs on those Node versions, so this change quietly drops part of the declared support matrix. Consider either keeping ESLint 8.x or raising the engines.node requirement to match.
