I don't know detail of this, but I can see changes in this PR does not listed in History for Lib/webbrowsers.py in 3.12 branch. In (for example) 3.11 branch, related changes (f465482) is merged in History in 3.11 branch.
My main concern is, I wonder it is root cause of backporting this change into python312 (3.12 branch) in FreeBSD Ports.
