Most changes to Python require a NEWS entry. Add one using the blurb_it web app or the blurb command-line tool. If this change has little impact on Python users, wait for a maintainer to apply the skip news label instead. |

This fix is in the wrong place, we should fix our changes extension instead. It's also against the wrong branch, this is the same on main. Additionally, while this will fix the build it does not fix the render in the changes output. I'll try write a patch.
