Backport of GH-153764 to 3.14.

Resolved the conflict by omitting the MS_* heading change, since those constants were introduced in Python 3.15.

Validation:

  • Sphinx lint and whitespace checks passed.
  • Targeted nitpicky mmap documentation build passed with zero warnings.
  • Full documentation warning regression, .nitignore, and NEWS checks passed. Existing allowed warnings remain.
