Hmm, I'm still not a particular fan of this, but if you want it let's put it in "useful materials".

In my opinion useful materials are not the place for this. Similar projects is list of other translation projects also worth investing in, where this fits just fine.

The distinction is that the other Similar projects are actual translation efforts, whereas this is a collection of notes and guidance on things like project structure, POEdit, and gettext, so Useful materials seems like the more appropriate place for it.

Friendly-traceback has rudimentary translation process, keeps PO files in repository and accepts PRs. I was meaning to link to a starting point for a potentially interested translator.

Then this isn't the page to link to, as the author puts it, it's an explanation of how to use gettext.

You're right, I only glossed over the article, the fact that it's located in Contribute section misled me. When at desktop, I am going to replace them link with https://github.com/friendly-traceback/friendly-traceback/tree/main/friendly_traceback%2Flocales directly, because of lack of better alternative.

If there isn't a nice overview then I don't think we should link to it. Also, the project does not seem active, the last commit was a year ago.
Sorry, something went wrong.
